Yeeeeah, they're not even sort-of possible. It's basically a prettier 419 scam.

Really? I thought these crowd funding sites did some sort of checks before people could put projects up?

Nah. Loads of crowd-funding projects don't have anything even vaguely working when they go up. Often a large amount of the money they're trying to raise is to make the thing actually work.

Having said that, flexible eInk screens exist, don't they? Isn't that what this is?

Not that flexible. And not in colour. And not with buckets of processing power that's waterproof and has a touchscreen and speaker and is in a fucking machine-washable shoe.

They do look good though. If it gets released I'll think about it.

Only if they get to $2million in funding.
Wireless charging at that point too! That's at least one person sold ;)

Where you get getting the speaker and touchscreen features from? I've phrased that as a question but really I'm accusing you of making it up. ;)

Honestly if they ever get these things to work they'll have to be able to make them for £15 to sell to ten year olds because that's the only sustainable market for them.

I can only assume you must be able to, in any shoe shop. Since everyone would want to wear something like that.

Technology aside, I've seen the future of trainers and they look awesome. I'm going to have a picture of a big veiny cock on the front and a hairy ball either side of the shoe. Or a picture of my dog. Probably the dog picture.

I had a pair. I used to wear them for work when I worked in a call centre.

They were ace around Tesco too!

Just strap two old smartphones to each of your current shoes.

And walk into the sea.
