Well, this looks relevant to my interests.

I think I need to take a drive up there. Anyone else fancy it?

They've announced that they are now opening on Sunday afternoons as well, which makes for an easier trip. Anyone fancy a BEEX outing?

I headed over to this last night, as I'm on holiday an hour away, and very fine it is too.

It's definitely got the feel of a proper arcade, and a nice selection of games though I was a bit disappointed that the Star Wars and Return Of The Jedi machines were both off.

The original sit down powered Out Run is great fun and still a bloody difficult game - I can complete Out Run 2 and Coast To Coast on a single credit but couldn't do more than three stages on this one.

I set a few high scores of the night, but couldn't get near others - 800k on Galaga was mighty impressive compare to my 320k.

Anyway, I definitely want to go back at some point, not least to get a proper four player game of Gauntlet.

Ok. I'll have a look at dates when I'm back. Any preferences for Sunday afternoon or sat evenings?

They've posted on their facebook page that they will be moving to Bury over the Halloween weekend to bigger and better premises which sounds good.
It's a little bit more convenient for me too which is a plus.

I could do a visit before then, but it might be nice to see the new site instead.

Yes! We've also got a new arcade in Amsterdam now. In the middle of the red light distric, so easy to find for you brits. St annendwarsstraat 6. Opened last year but finally managed to visit it.

Got a metal slug, sega siccer, 2 glaga/pacmans, sega rally, manx super bike, terminator2, railchase (with physics)

Best thing is they'renow such a succes they opened a second one in the cultural former gas factory area in west last friday

(If look carefully you can see one of amsterdam's finest in the back of the third photo).

I went to the new venue in Bury at the weekend and it is indeed much bigger, though roadblasters was off and they haven't got all the machines out yet. Hopefully going back over Christmas.
