So how much do you think your going to spend on gaming in 2015

Are you going to enter the next generation with a PS4 / Xbox One or a Wii-u ?

Are there big games your going to grab on day 1 - or are you going to wait for the magic £20 mark ?

Post your estimate here and try and keep track of just how much money your throwing away when instead you could be outside !

Post your prices inside <> symbols and Grim...'s magic tracker will total everything up for you : http://www.beexcellenttoeachother.com/c ... sh2015.php

You can also put negative values in if you've sold items back

I'm going with the same as last year, £800-£1000.

Also.. Bioshock infinite <6.85> and Putty Squad on the 3DS <9.85>

I've gone for £200-£300 this year - since I've got a new console, I expect I'll probably be spending a lot on games. (Will also probably end up spending about £80 on a external drive for the Xbox, so that will already add the extra)

My WoW subscription is £25 per three months (I locked in at the cheaper rate before the price increase in November), so that's £100.

There'll probably be another Hearthstone expansion (or two?) during the year so let's allow £100 for that.

Other than that, maybe Zelda on the Wii U, which will be £50 I suppose. And there might be another game for the Wii U that I'll fancy.

So I'll go for £200-£300, as if I stay at WoW for the year (which I think is very likely given how stellar the latest expansion is), that and Hearthstone will basically cover the whole thing.

I want to pick up a WiiU at some point, so I reckon that might take me to £5-600 for the year, though I'll almost certainly forget to keep track of what I've spent anyway.

I'd unequivocally recommend a Wii U, absolute textbook example of quality over quantity. The sheer joy of games like Mario Kart 8 just can't be overstated. (And personally I was blown away by Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, but you have to have a soft spot for somewhat old school videogames, as it really is an evolution of the old SNES games at heart.) Rayman Legends is wonderful too. (And Super Mario 3D World, and Mario Bros Wii U, and so on.)

It seems to me that every other game on the XBoner/PS4 requires a 5000000GB day one patch and even then doesn't work properly, whereas Nintendo's stuff is perfect right off the disc. (And I'm not exempting PC games from all that nonsense either, since they're developed along with the console versions and are often just as fucked at launch as the console versions are.)

I'm going to estimate 1-50.

My spending in 2014 was exclusively done on gift vouchers, so I didn't use any if my own money bizarrely, despite playing and getting loads.

This year after we've burned through some iTunes vouchers we received it'll be cash monies all the way and I may get on the chart.

Fuck knows. I didn't intend to buy two consoles when 2014 began, so I'm loathe to say £200 in case I decide to get an Xbox One, an Oculus Rift and some kind of gaming tram.

<1.49> Desert Golfing (iOS)
<8.66> Shovel Knight (Wii U)
<24.99> Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Wii U)
<16.85> New Super Mario Bros U (Wii U)

MH3 was a game I expected to like very much.

Sadly, I didn't seem to, it would certainly be interesting to hear your opinions on it.

I assume here : http://www.cdkeys.com/playstation-netwo ... bscription

Has been the cheapest place for PS+ stuff for ages - make sure you 'like' them on facebook to get an extra 5% off the list price - its also the cheapest to get PS credit

http://www.cdkeys.com/playstation-netwo ... s-vita-ps3

with the 5% off is only £30.40 for a £35 card

FYI right now its : 17290JLKG8

The original price is £36.99 , 5% of that is £1.85

£36.99 - £1.85 = £35.14 (which is what the doc posted as the cost for him) - are you sure you didn't have something else in your basket at the time ?

The original price was in dollars - I probably have to change my settings on the site.

Ahhh , mine was all in pounds - that explains the difference although you've presumably been charged extra in there for currency conversion

Having got my PS4 at the tail end of last year, and a shitload of games for it courtesy of my relatives, I'm not expecting to spend much this year so have pegged my estimate at £200-300. The only thing that would blow that is the very slight temptation to buy a new PC but unless my upcoming bonus is hilariously good (spoiler: it won't be) then the chance of that is vanishingly small.

I had so much fun with this. You can do the main mission in under an hour, but there are a lot of side- and extra-ops and it's fun replaying the main mission through once you know what you're doing.

I've not tried the online stuff as yet. The single player works across all 4 games though.

It's £27.95 at ShopTo today. I checked Amazon via FIC.com and it said £24.95, but if I go straight to the site it says £21 + £2.03 postage from a marketplace seller.

Ah , its changed since last week - I've been undecided on it still and looked on Friday when it was £21 from Amazon and £20.85 from Shopto
