So why did you go for Mimi?

It was Random..

Bah!!

Well I took a much more logical approach to it, since i had no idea who anyone was I decided to look at the player list and see if there was anyone I would be willing to take a bullet for.

Since that turned up ziltch I decided I would protect Mimi on the off chance she would one day make me some awesome knitwear :DD

Aw... Hahahaha :luv:

I want to know what will happen if they drink the potion, and also can't wait for why Zaphod went hat mental.

Well, Trooper, various dead people, it was a great game. I had seriously no idea what was going on at any point. I still have no idea what happened, but great fun

Now we are at the last day, I can explain a few things.

It should be obvious now why I couldn't explain as the game was going on, as Grim... could read everything I said in here.
The start of the game was interesting. I gave out the assignments and asked people with kills roles to write a kill role, this is what Mr Russell gave me:

Name: Sir Robust Manly
Short description : English Gent
Night power (if any) : none
Allegiance : Mafia
Passive characteristics (if any) :My passive ability will be that anyone using the :hat: Dimlie is seen as a threat to my gentleman-ness and gets squished by unknown forces.

A passive kill role! That kinda fucked over the mafia from the start, as they couldn't kill anyone overnight :D So I knew I had to do a rebalance somehow, and after Grim... and his first day skirting so close to the meta boundary, it was too amusing not to make him part of the mafia and totally change time :D Sorry Bobby!

Luckily Mimi swap Russ's passive to myp, so it was still in play when he got lynched...

Then things happen as you see them.

Seriously, you changed an investigated players role after they had been investigated! Harsh. Still made it a lot more fun!

WHY DID PEOPLE DRINK THE POTION!!!!

Because they wanted to win?

It did lead to a rather imbalanced situation. Although a 1/3 chance of the person picked being the correct one, which would naturally decrease if time.was.allowed to pass.
Although becoming an awesome zombie is its own reward.

Of course.the other question is why townsfolk started posting hats at the behest of an obviously bad man...

The only way for the town to win on the last day, was for every town member to claim they drank the potion and to let the zombies try and work out who was telling the truth.
But that didn't happen :D

The hats things was amusing to watch throughout the game.

Early on when we worked out that a mass roleclaim could win it for town really easily (and I was being voted for) Grim... said "looks like it's over for you, unless you want to try something like styling it out and claiming as Batman."

Styled it out.

Yeah, I realised that. I also figured that given any time it'd be obvious that at least one person wasn't a zombie due to the unexpected flip in strength. and also that the head zombie wouldn't care which one he hit so the most obvious thing to do would be to immediately vote having identified his allies so if you don't do so, you're clearly not the head z.

So a quick vote was required, and if whoever was targetted was town and didn't figure it out quickly enough with the hints given, town never would've won.

and frankly, given my role, so long as I wasn't lynched, that seemed on keeping with how I was playing.

Really loved that one. Didn't realise the passive swap ability was permanent.

Also, by revealing the mafia/town/neutral alliances for each character meant I couldn't roleplay as Sir Robust Manly, what , what?

It's because I was stupid enough to tell you who I thought the Mafia was.

Nah. You were already going to be switched before you did that, due to the meta-ing all over the shop. :)

There wasn't any (apart from my knowledge of nightcunt, which I was quiet about). I just went back and read day 1 and I still don't know.

Voting for someone and saying/strongly implying you can't say why because it would be meta, is still meta in my eyes, and goes against the spirit of the game :)

Mixing the roles up would have cause a rip in the metaverse, everyone would have had meta about someone else...

Apologies if you really didn't have meta, but i'm not sure what I'm expected to think with an exchange like this!
