Still right about that one, though.

This clearly ain't working. If you want to rally support against GazChap you must explain yourself.

Again?

I suspect you may be correct, and there's our missing mafia kill role.

Tell you what, you spell out to me why we should kill him off and I'll make an informed decision based in your rationale and vote accordingly. That'd be a super idea, right? It'd be real nice if you could be persuasive instead of being cryptic for us simpletons (I.e. Me)

I'm willing enough to go along. It will at least inform us some on Grim...

Although it may just be some hidden power availed to him by fucking Gazchap up.

But no rush, like.

(Although given he wrote his rules, that he'd put in a restriction is a little...)

I don't know. I can imagine that a few people have written restrictions intot he game for no other reason than as a challenge to themselves, to game themselves, as it were. Myp, for example, who seems to have written an affectation into his role just as a little side Challenge.

My guess (and this is nothing other than a guess) is that if grim... is a good guy (possibly batman) that he perhaps has some access to knowledge (through either investigation or othrwise) that gives him information on a Character, and perhaps as part of his Character quirk he can pass on this information (ie: X is good, X is bad) but need provide absolutely no justification for his statement or belief (probably because he's written in tht he's too awesoem to need to justify himself, and that everyone should listen unquestionably, or something)...

Again, this is nothing more than guesswork, but it's the only sense i can make of it, and the leap of faith has to be in whether we think batman is good.

Well, according to Grim... he isn't allowed to provide justification for his voting - if that is the case for the entire time we're here, regardless of who he's voting for, it's not very helpful.

gazchap: 2 (Grim..., Curiosity)

Not voted: 11 (american nervoso, davpaz, goddess jasmine, cras, mimi, gazchap, zaphod79, mr russell, mr dave, saturnalian, bobbyaro)

With 13 players alive, 7 votes are required for a lynch, and 7 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

I cannot vote for Gazchap without saying why we should do this.

But is there anyone else we are suspicious of today?

Meta clarification: You are all strangers, you only know what is written in the role descriptions and what is said in the thread (and any allowed private conversations that take place).
Same as any other mafia game
I realise that stuff will seep out based on how well people know each other in real life and assumptions based on what roles they may have written, but not everyone knows everyone else to the same sort of level, so try and keep it as fair as possible :)

You must know something of Grim...'s power or role to have known that whatever has been denied has been, so you must be in cahoots or collaboration, or at least party to some knowledge of who or what Grim... is, and are happy to vote to follow suit.

So, is Grim... good, and why should we trust him, and why should we trust you telling us if he is good or not, because the most obvious 'group' for shared knowledge is the Mafia, but at the moment the only steer we are getting is from Grim..., but I want a better reason to trust him other than my hunch that I detailed before.

No, we've got until tomorrow, still plenty of time.

Grim... It's a leap of faith, but if the vote carries we'll at least have some idea about something, about you, or Gazchsp or both. So,

[vote:Gazchap]

I'm not either, but with no better lead it's the only clear direction we have, with the understanding that if it appears to be a complete wrong steer then Grim... will be very much under scrutiny.

It's too cliquey for me "Vote for GazChap cause Grim... sez so", nah, that's not enough for me. No one would believe me if I said vote for [insert name] just because I said so. Not even me.

I don't think it is a good basis, but at the moment I can't see any other basis for action. I don't think it is because of the person who is saying it, and I don't think that you would be thought of any different if this had been your tactic from the outset, but this has been Grim...'s standard, insisted line from the very start, and if it is a complete lie then it will prove bad for us but at least we'll have some info.

Sat, Grim... has been aiming at GC; now it may be he has a role which means he wins if he leads a bandwagon against GC; alternatively he may have info against GC, or he is just a nutter. It is however, unlikely he is Mafia, as to do this and get GC killed and GC is a townie, then we kill him next. So, in terms of "no reason" actually the reason is to get information. Now you may thinkn that isn't a very good reason to kill someone, and I would tend to agree, but it is unlikely any of the invesitagaton roles are going to come forward at this time, so this is all we have.

To be fair, I think Grim... has metadata that he can't explain in game, but I don't know if even acknowledging that is bad.

Bye bye Gazchap!

Gazchap was Billy the Blackmailer!

Character Name: Billy the Blackmailer
Short description: Works for the Mafia. He's employed to dig up dirt on anyone he can and use that to the Mafia's advantage.
Night power (if any): Blackmail. Billy picks another player to target that night. Billy digs up enough dirt on that player that, as far as any other power roles are concerned, that player is considered "bad" for that night.
Allegiance : Mafia
Passive characteristics (if any): None.
Affectations (if any): None.
Anything else you want to add: If Billy is investigated, the investigator sees that he's a bad guy -

Good job town. Night actions to me by Tuesday 9am please.
