I'm here asking for the infinite wisdom of fellow forumites over the knowledge of the english language. I'm having doubts betwen the use of the words "through", "throughout" or "over". For instance:

"Seeking a challenging career that can maximize my background multidisciplinary skills acquired over 7 years of experience as an environmental consultant and hydraulics project engineer."

"Over" just doesn't sound ok to me, even though my wife says that "through" can't be used. Any help?

"Through" seems like it would fit to me.

over doesn't work. Would work if it was:

over 7 years as a whale bummer

but not as:

over 7 years of experience as a whale bummer

Through seems like the one.

:this: and drop 'experience' so it's:

Quote:
Seeking a challenging career that can maximize my background multidisciplinary skills acquired during 7 years as an environmental consultant and hydraulics project engineer.

That fact that seven years doing a job constitutes experience is a given, you don't need to say it and trying to do so just complicates the sentence structure.
