Would anyone have an objection to the forum adding a Beex affiliate link to any un-affiliated Amazon links?

As I am super programmer, i'd copy the coding for the forum into word, then ctrl-H and replace amazon.com with amazon.com/beex and then copy it by pressing ctrl-c and put it on the internet.

No objection for me. When I've posted links to Amazon before, I've made sure I've not included my own affiliate link in case folk thought I was being cheeky, so I'd be happy for Beex to profit instead.

But what about existing affiliate links? Somewhat rude to steal them.

There we go - I girled out and did the work after the text had been parsed for display for the forum, so I could just grab the URL out of the anchor tag. The downside is that you can't see the changes, they're hidden in the link, which looks a bit thiefy.

But I've told you all, so that's cool, right?

I've got no objections, but I would ask that people consider linking to SavyGamer instead of just posting an amazon link if it's from a deal they spotted on SavyGamer.

I think that the majority of people here follow Savvygamer on Twitter anyway so we see the deals on there, rather than cross promote them here.

But anyway.. If there is one, yeah.. I'm sure we've got no problems here.

Maybe when I eventually get around to getting a redesign I might do something like that. It'd probably just be prizes for people sending lots and lots of traffic rather than paying out cash money. I make roughly 1-2p per unique user a month, so giving (say) 6% of that would just be a waste of everyone's time surely.
