If you’re a parent, you’ll know all about that unending, unbreakable love you have for your children (you know, apart from those times when they’re really getting on your wick and you wish you were 20 and single again).

But I digress. Yes, that infinite love that cannot be measured. There’s certainly no way you could ever begin to put a price on it.

How about $16,000, 100 cases of beer and several cases of meat then? For the 14-year old girl? No? Fair enough.

That was the price that a 36-year old Greenfield, California man put on his teenage daughter before he was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of human trafficking. Police were only alerted when the man complained to them because he hadn’t received the full payment.

Before we all rise up as one to point fingers and condemn, we must ask these questions. (a) What kind of beer was it? (b) What kind of meat? (c) Was it fresh or frozen?

That's rather expensive.

What kind of dingus complains to the police that he hasn't received full payment for selling his daughter? Did he think they were going to get the bailiffs in, get the rest of his meat for him and send him on his way?

How can the hat be new if you've had it for a while?

I'm just a bit concerned that anyone could knock up a website and put 'news' items on it, without citing any sources.

Wikipedia, then.
