This month's centrefold is a strange Dutchman who plays games on an Apple Macintosh?! Who'da thunk it.

Chinny should also take a look at this months (Battlezone cover) since it has an Amstrad collector for the collectors corner section and a retrospective of the 6128

Oooh, might take it on holiday with me. Cheers for the heads up.

Meanwhile I've had the C64 out and have been playing Bruce Lee, Ghostbusters, Barbarian 2 and IK+.

IK+ is totally over-rated. Bruce Lee is cool but the Speccy version is also great.

Ghostbusters is pretty much the same on the CPC and Barbarian 2 has better graphics on the CPC.

That is all.

so isn't the one featured on the website with the christmas cover?

Besides, RG gets on my nerves with their multi-issue features.

Not only because it's a fellow forum member, but i also like that feature, specially when people collect really specific things, like the guy who collected everything metroid

Awesome-sauce.

I've been told my issue is waiting for me at home so I'll have a flick through it tomorrow.

It's actually a fairly lengthy interview with Ritman rather than a HoH feature (although HoH also features in the hatefully designed top 25 isometric games feature).

I took one look at the start of that and was convinced it was a printing error. Did someone REALLY think it was a good idea?

God knows. Maybe the designer was drunk or something. It kind of worked when they did my Marble Madness piece's strapline/standfirst like that, but a whole article? Crazy. Mind you, maybe there was a little too much gin this month, given what a total mess was made of the Battlezone images (despite copious production notes being sent). Still, the cover was really nice (my first cover in a 38 issues!), and I enjoyed the articles that I could read (such as the Ritman interview, which was nicely designed).

Maybe the BZ thing is Retro Gamer 'karma' for me mislabelling a CPC shot as a C64 grab last month.

(and MacRetro has been in my sig for the last four years, so that might have given you the mac hint, you are making a statement here though: aren mac users less geeky? I certain weays, they often are more geeky, don't ya)
