Woohoo! World of Goo is out on Wii - I think I might like this, finally something to play since Mario galaxy. Still, I'm skint and it is a tenner, but ho-hum, I'll just download the demo and....

This keeps happening. Apparently the PC version has no DRM. Might consider 'auditioning' it, or might just go for something else entirely. And this is the problem.

Does anyone here feel comfortable buying Wiiware games unplayed? Seems so utterly unnecessary a risk when a demo is such an easy thing to build in from scratch. I think Nintendo are concerned that so much of their DLC is fun for five minutes that too many would be happy with a demo and not splash out.

I don't buy many demoless games, especially when there's no excuse. I don't own Wipeout HD for instance.

I won't buy a game without a demo unless it's something I know I already like, such as a retro-release. I've never paid for a WiiWare game.

I got the PC version of World of Goo as it's non-DRMd and totally awesome.

The PC version has a demo too, why not just try that?

The demo hasn't been winking at me from a torrent rss feed for the last two days.
