So, there's one at the centre of our galaxy, and most probably at the centre of all galaxies. Scientists are now saying it's highly likely that galaxies formed around black holes due to the huge gravitational pull.

I think it's brilliant, seeing as I've spent my life thinking of them as this malevolent thing that destroys all matter - it now turns out if it wasn't for them we wouldn't be here.

Racist.

They've been saying this for many many years, as no other explanations made much sense. It seems they've now confirmed it though.

I read this book once (you can tell this is going to be good) and it was a thesis about Black Holes-yup I read it all by myself, it had pop-ups and everything!

It was years ago when I was in school and it was about putting some sort of detector device on the the end of a long metal rope-thing and letting it go off through a black hole and record what was there

I think aswell it was on about things being 'born' from black holes too so kinda the theory they are getting at
