So, how come Call of Duty does Nazi Zombies and everyone decrees it's a bit sick and misjudged, but a *comedy film* can do it and it's not only OK, but totally awesome?

Cautiously optimistic. Looks fun, it got a bit of a reek of "'nice trailer, shame about the film' to it. Remember how good Undead looked? What a pissing letdown.
Plus Germany and zombie films have an, err, interesting track record:

Gotta love the dubbing though.

I have no problems at all with the nazi zombage business, owning Oasis of the Zombies, Shockwaves and Zombie Lake can testify to this. The problem I have with CoD5 is the footage of actual humans being actually killed.

I think you've answered your own question: it's a comedy film. Call of Duty is meant to a series of games based on real WWII events.
