"You must build a Hatchery to feed your minions." China only, at least for now, according to the offical press release. Wasn't there blurb about bringing an old Bullfrog title back to life? That some of us here were speculating would be Syndicate? Perhaps it was this instead.

It was okay. I just wished that the attacking force would just bugger off and let me live in peace with my imps.

It's pure awesome.

2 Player DK is just fantastic.

As an MMO, having not read the articles, I dunno.

Thank god for that. I liked Dungeon Keeper 2, it was great. The thought of a billion warcraft nerds spunking all over it would have been horrible.

Surely there's just ending up too many MMOs now. There's a lot undoubtedly falling by the wayside. Or maybe it's easier to make profit from them than you think.

There is only one MMO and EvE is its name.

I don't really see how this will work as an MMO. It would be cool if it were a bit like Planetside, in that you had high ranked players as the dungeon keepers and each monster was a player.

DK1 was a good game but it started to get boring after a while since it hadn't much variation. DK2 i never played.

And another MMO? just fuck off.

DK2 is reportedly (never played it either) the game that DK1 should have been.

Which, curiously, is the same pattern that both Black & White *and* Fable seem to have followed. This only goes to prove my theory that Molyneux is a prat.

Better to get it right in the end than not at all.

Even better to get it right in the first place, than to get it spectacularly wrong but to have the sycophantic British games press wanking furiously all over your tits because you used to work for a company that made good games AND you're British too, resulting in misleadingly high scores and glowing reviews of what is in fact a steaming load of old shit. See also: Rare.

I disagree. Molyneux's problem over the last decade has always been that his ambition exceeded his grasp; as you say, v1.0 of his games has been lacking. But without that huge ambition, would the v2.0 games been as good?

But why can't he make the v1.0 game amazing, when other developers are perfectly capable of making their ambitious idea amazing the first time out?

Populous and Syndicate were the only classics he did, imo. Populous 2 was probably my most played (followed closely by Pirates, Utopia and Kings bounty) on the Amiga
