Awww, did they splurge away all their money making Brothers in Arms exactly the same again for a third fucking time?

I didn't bother with any other than the first one, as it was quite clearly the most repetitive game in the history of FPSs. I had no anticipation of the sequels being any different, seeing as the thing being repeated ad nauseam was its core USP.

"Cover fire! Flank! Shoot! Hooray, they didn't move and were entirely surprised by our continued use of one simplistic tactical maneuvre! You Ess Ay! You Ess Ay!"

It was a horrendously shit depiction of the tactics as well. The linear levels had maybe two paths through, filled with convenient (and obvious) pieces of cover for you to hide behind. And unless you finished the game/cheated, all the enemies had indicators above their heads to show just how suppressed they were so you could judge to the second when they'd come back out. And even with these off, your squadmates would somehow know and announce it loudly.

I do hope that Borderlands gets finished, though.
