Howdy,

This is the generic Birthday thread for people to wish others a 'Happy Biffday/Boirthday/Day of Birth' etc

(We spoke of doing this to save multiple 'it's so and so's birthday' threads popping up...nothing happened-so I've kinda just gone ahead and done it anyway)

I liked the seperate birthday threads - now I have to keep checking this one to see if another birthday has ben added. At least with the named thred I knew if I had said happy birthday to someone, it's not like there are any less threads at the top of the board this way - there was only ever one, on rare occasions two, birthday threads visible at any one time, now if this appears back you have to scan back through loads of posts to see whose birthday it is.

Its a good idea, Shin, but it gets a thumbs down for me. Plus, its nice to have a special thread made just for you, for your birthday :hat:

I made it because noone was making the birthday threads anymore, plus there was some discussion that there was no point in having separate threads as it just mucked the place up and they were never used again-so this one is recycle friendly

As a compromise, how about a mod alters the subtitle whenever it's someone's birthday? Hence it can still be personal, but there won't be loads of threads cluttering up the place.
