This thread is inspired in equal measures by Trousers' generosity with Lave and myself with regards to Pure and Prey; with Dimrill offering to lend me Fable II while he's tied up with Fallout 3; and Scarysheep3000 and myself doing a lend-swap with Halo 3 and Bully.

You must all have games that you don't want to part with, but yet haven't played in ages or have no intention of playing for a while. There also must be games that you'd like to play, but you don't have the money to buy this close to Christmas or just don't fancy shelling out for.

Here is a thread for you to put a list of games up that you own, but aren't fussed about having about your personage for the next couple of months. Once enough people post their lists, you can either reply in this thread or PM another lister to see if they're interested in doing lendsie-swapsies.

I suppose I should put a disclaimer about the risk of never getting the game back being yours and not mine, but so far we've not had any problems like that. Obviously the risk is yours and not mine, though.

Does this sound like a good idea, or completely unworkable? In any case, here's my list (all Xbox 360):

Assassin's Creed
Brian Lara International Cricket 2007
Call of Duty 3
Dead Rising
Rockstar Table Tennis
SEGA Rally
skate.
The Orange Box
Top Spin 2
Viva PiƱata
World Snooker Championship 2007

I also have a copy of Prey that Trousers gave to me on the proviso that I passed it onto someone else after I was done. I think I'm pretty much done with it (and can always pick it up again for peanuts if I want to), and I'll send it onto the first person to PM me about it. :)

Ooh, I could do with a lend of PGR3, Duds. It's currently a gamercard ghost as I played it once round a friend's house. Anything on my list you fancy?

Sounds like a good idea to me. I'll see if I can come up with a proper list later, but I know I've got two copies of Oblivion so one of those is certainly available to lend.

I could try the Orange Bawx. The PC versions seem to make me quesy for some reason, maybe the 360 one won't.

Oh yeah. :) What was it I swapped it for? I can picture the box art but can't remember the bloody name of the game!

I'd quite like to borrow Guitar hero Aerosmith for Wii if anyone has it.

Can swap for Super Paper Mario, Eledees, Super Mario Galaxy or Zelda Twilight Princess.

Really?! Oh I love you!! I'll have to check with G-unit because he may not like the fact I shall be in front of the tv for hours each day playing silently on the xbox...actually....he would probably love it :D

This is a Good Idea (TM).

A number I can't lend because of my GF trying to play through them but taking forever with though, still I have:

360
  • Sega Rally
  • Bioshock
  • PGR 3
  • EDF 2017
  • Halo 3,
  • Crackdown
  • Gears of War
(aside: I would quite like to get some multiplayer Beex co-op going on them last 3 at some point.)

Wii
  • Sonic and the secret Rings
  • Super Paper Mario (this is really good)
  • Links Crossbow Training (this isn't)

Not really buying new games makes my games list quite old I'm afraid.

Xbox 1 & GC
Pretty much anything good I'll have.

I want to swap my 360 copy of Ninja Gaiden 2 for some like minded individual's Devil May Cry 4. Also on 360. Of course.

Any takers?

Also, Super Paper Mario is not really good. It's tedious, trite, old bollocks.

I am seriously overburdened with games at the moment - I have picked up the following last 3-4 weeks

Devil May Cry 4
Far Cry Instincts Predator
Lego Star Wars 2
Beautiful Katamari
Unreal Tournament 3
Fallout 3
Everybody's Golf
Wii Fit

So it would just sat there not getting played but cheers anyway.

Probably best not to argue it here. But I liked it. 2D platform fun. Not A grade or anything. But a solid entertaining B that didn't outstay it's welcome at 14 odd hours. Well worth getting it lent to you for free at least! Much better than the proper RPG ones to my eyes. Disclaimer: Ich bin biased for 2D platformers.

Lave did you send Pure - not come as yet so I'm hoping the Postie/Royal Mail hasn't fooked off with it.
