Finally a proper ikaruga session, since downloading it, and i'm 6 now on our friendslist, just a few 100000behind revstu...

Hori stick, Pioneer Stereo On Ten, Immersion, Zen.

I don't know where I am in relation to revstu as he yanked me from his friends list at the time of the schism. He also stole my lolly and called me fatty-bum-bah.

However I do know I am about a million miles behind Malc74 as I am completely obsessed with getting a high score on the 1st level and the 2nd one just blows my nads off*. I have never played it to completion as I am obsessed with chaining - as soon as my chain goes I quit and restart if it's not high enough.

I love it and hate it in equal measure.

*also he's better than me. But whatever.

It's just not as good as I remember it being. It's too much of a memory test, sometimes it feels more like a puzzle game than a shmup.

The Discordance Axis song is still awesome though.

It's only difficult if you're manipulating the chaining system properly, too. If you're having trouble with the first three levels but are only playing for survival, you could probably do with playing more 2D games in general. ;)

Romanista! Sorry, mate - I've just remembered that I was supposed to send you copies of Under Defeat, Border Down and Nester DC. How unreliable you must think I am. I'll get them sent out sooooon!

I may just have a wee go of this again tonight, I also need to nail the last level of REZ HD now I think of it.

i don't like it, even if i love schmups in general.

I like the simplicity of the "destroy or be destroy" gameplay. Having colors and such is an annoying distraction. And i also don't like the absence of power ups. Besides it's just plain nasty.

I need to go back to Rez and do the boss rush and other bits and bobs. I love it.

I hate shooters, I'm crap at them and this kicks my arse in all directions. But I love it for it.
