Ahoy!

I've just picked up a PS3 so I can cover forthcoming titles such as LBP, Resistance 2 and GTI Club+. What should I be getting for it?

I'm not interested in any of the retail games like MGS4 at the moment, I'd just like to know what I should be getting from PSN?

So far I'll be getting;

Wipeout HD
Super Stardust
Everyday Shooter

What else is there that I've been missing out on?

No that about covers it unless you're a Tekken fan.

Get the demo of Super Rub-a-dub though which is charming.

Locoroco! Thank you sir! How long does the initial system update take? I've just fired it up for the very first time...

Ha! It's a bit tedious first configuring a PS3. Look forward to an hour of dicking around waiting for stuff to download and then install.

Yeah. I've put 50 quid in my "wallet" and bought all of the games. Downloading them is taking a while, though. Oh, and you have to INSTALL them once you have them? Pff!

Hopefully GTI Club+ will be worth it! If anyone wants to add me, my PSN ID is jonarob...

Might I also suggest sir takes a look at Pixeljunk Eden? It's quite nice. I also gather that Siren: Blood Curse is pretty decent too.

I've not got a PS3 - and never played one - but these are the games that are tempting me towards getting one (when they are about £100 obv).

The Last Man (Google Earth + Zombies) looks awesome.
All the Pixel Junk stuff looks lovely.
Echochrome - strange puzzley fun
Loco Roco
Super Rub a dub

But most importantly, whilst it's a PS1 re-release, if you haven't played Bishi Bashi Special BUY IT NOW - BUY IT OFTEN.

I believe it's only £3.50. And it's so good that I would buy it again despite still having the original in a heart beat.

It's what Wario Ware ripped off massively.

I'd even go as far as get the full* game...its a quacker!

Wipeout HD is great and well worth the £13 or whatever it costs...its so smooth and sexy.

I cant really suggest any others but I thinkPerkies is a big fan of pixeljunk racers so that may be worth a look.

(obiviously dont if you hate the demo)

Spluh? You must be thinking of another Perkies, as I've never played it nor do I have a PS3.

I put 50 quid in my "wallet" and went apeshit. I picked up pretty much every game mentioned in here :p

Loving PixelJunk Racers and Rub-a-Dub is ace! Wipeout HD is very impressive, but I'm seriously shit at it.

I liked Rub-a-Dub so much I fired out a quick review! It's definitely worth getting if you haven't got it already.
