I seem to remember someone saying that they took their Sat Nav to the US. I want to do the same with mine so just need to stick Florida maps on the SD card. But, I only have a 1GB SD card, and they are over 2GB apparently (I don't have them yet). Did the person who did it before have a bigger card or was the file size smaller? I know it sounds like a stupid question, but Florida is smaller than the UK so I'm a little confused!

Not sure about your question, but Amazon or ebuyer do 4GB cards for about a six quid now ( assuming your SatNav thingy can handle them )

It can Squirt, but I leave in two days! I never considered it would even be a problem to be honest!

Pop into town and get a 2GB card from your local Dixons or something. You'll pay slightly over the odds for it, but at least you won't need to worry!

Or failing that, take the maps on a CD and then buy a cheap SD card when you get to the States and copy them across using a computer there.

Just to clarify - when I searched around for the maps, I couldn't find any for just Florida, but just the US generally and that's where I saw the 2.1gb filesize. If you can get maps just for Florida, then I was just looking in the wrong dodgy places. :)

So essentially, what you're saying is, it's all your fault? Ok. ;)

Don't suppose you know which version of TomTom you have? TomTom Mobile? TomTom Go?

Even better, get down to PC World and get them to pricematch this:

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/ ... egory_oid=

With this:

http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electro ... oduct.html

Their price match policy is to reduce the price by 110% of the difference so unless my maths skills are rustier than I thought, it'll end up costing £4.69.

I love how they're selling it £10 above rrp if Play is to be believed.
