Greetings, I return.*

I am new and do not know you!
Excellent! Thank fuck for that, then. Well if that's al-

No really, what are you doing here?
Good question. I'm famously bad at not being long-winded, as some of you know. So I'll try and keep this brief and to the point, but hey, I'm battling against the odds here boyo.

I have personally had a very bad year, for reasons which some of you are aware to varying degrees. I would like to apologize if I have caused any actual upset or genuine offence previously. I think you are mostly a bunch of mostly typical mostly British mostly people, whom I mostly like.

Right. I like games and music and films and taking the piss out of politicans, and that. I would like to talk about these things. You people are good for that. We don't always agree. I trust that you would not take this personally, just as I don't take it personally that some of you actually think Earth Defence Force 2150 is an awesome game.

We're different, and that's what makes us special (well, that and, in my case, a certificate from Professor Spazzo's School of Droolcups). So, I look forward to discussing e.g. the new R-Type game on XBLAH (!!!!!!) and stuff.

What can we expect from CUS?
Talking about games and that. I just said, god. I stick to my opinions stubbornly, but always meant with respect. Unless you e.g. say 'Obviously Crackdown on the 360 isn't as good as Metal Gear Solid 4' or something. In which case I will politely (I hope) disagree, and offer a conflicting opinion, and probably sniff at the use of the word 'Obviously'.

What does CUS expect from us?
Wariness :P In any event, I will not be offended by any foe-adding that you may wish to do (or confirm is still in place), should that be the case.

I feel quite a lot better. I would feel tons better if someone maybe fancied playing a game of something with me some time from the weekend onwards, but I shan't push. I'm not naively waltzing in expecting immediate inclusion and love :)

I thought CUS didn't like this place?
I didn't like facets, and that includes my own participation, which is part of why I resortd to spazzing out loudly about being banned. If you thought that was weird and messy, just imagine if I'd stayed and talked about all the stuff that was on my mind. I realise that I could have been better about it, but erm, I really wasn't expecting to come back ever, and almost threw all of my consoles and games into a skip recently. I trust that you will understand that in our lives, we all go through times of trouble. Well, welcome to mine, heh.

Is CUS emo then or something? God, he's not going to bang on about it is he?
I am the 'or something'. In any case, all I want to do is talk about e.g. how surprisingly ace the Speed Racer movie is. I appreciate a lot better now than I have previously, that some of you have quite horrible jobs, or unfortunate home situations, and that 'keeping things light' is a survival tactic, not just a preference. My apologies for not being able to previously dig myself out of mental gulch, better to be able to see that, truly.

Is CUS going to start any confusing threads?
No, that didn't work very well before did it? No, just regular threads, about games etc. I was going to start one about Fallout 3, but you've already done that. Let that be a good indicator of things. I am.

Can we laugh at CUS for coming back lol omg etc.?
You can do whatever you want. BETEO is a democracy, no one person is in charge and Modz are regularly voted in. Just appreciate that if I should use a combination of forum filters and Greasemonkey to completely ignore you, I am exercising my own right.

In short, I just wish to inobtrusively gossip about PC Engines and stuff. Honk if you like games and that! Anything else, like forum politics? I don't care at all. Please feel free to carry on, I'll just sit quietly and belm on about how surprisingly good the gameboy port of R-Type is.

So, yes I am back. Just call me the Kevin Keegan of BETEO (again)! See, I told you I was famously long-winded. Also, </nervous>

* This might be confusing when their supposedly quite-good new album comes out.

Do you know anything about Land Law and adverse possession? That'd be most helpful to me right now.

Nice to see you back buddy, hope all is well.

Good-O, you're back. Excellent.

It's a bit like one of those panel games, where a presenter leaves for a long time to have their baby or do another gig or be raped repeatedly in a Taiwanese prison, and at first it seems really strange now that they're not there, and it all feels really different and confusing, and then you get used to both the absence and come to accept and fully enjoy the slightly altered rhythm of the new set-up, and then one day the old presenter suddenly comes back and everything becomes like it did in the merry old days and the interim period sort of fades away and in the end you can't remember that there's been any absence at all. :)

Oh, and we're all playing Defcon now. YOU MUST DETHRONE ME.

I was confused, disappointed and then excited. I missed a lot of the "stuff" as I had stuff of my own at the time. Consequently I don't really know what happened and so don't care.

Best perspective mate. And, yes - I take no joy in saying that I think your year has been worse than mine. I really hope that things are better now Malc, that your family is as okay as it can be. Meant nicely - I wouldn't trade places and situations with you for all the eggs in... well, in your house.

More embarassed thanks and nods all around again.

Don't be too glad Runcle... I've still not posted any pictures of thee from Supersonic yet ;) Ooo, and I've got the one of me with Joe Preston! Yes! Er, I forget if you were there for that.

Before I forget - erm, you didn't leave an LG laptop or hard drive power adapter, and erm, what appears to be a small girl's black top did you, at my house? I ask only becasue they turned up a couple of days later and I've no idea where from :D

How did you know I like David Cross, just as a matter of interest?

erm no I dont think I left either of them, I hope not because I havent got an LG laptop and the latter just worries me.

On the David Cross point, I think there was thread before your hiatus where one of us mentioned the love for his stand up and the other shwoed the love back. Anyway it was aroudn the point I was bumming arrested development and got into his stand up and it really is great stuff, sometimes a bit too american oriented to 'get' like american politicians and that but sometimes there still come across funny. Its quite bizarre how theres only one stand up video of him floating around and thats from nearly 10 years back.

Ooo, have you not seen his "Let America Laugh" tour film? It's very funny. It's five years old, but funny. There's almost no stand-up, it's more sort of behind the scenes. But it's still funny. My favourite bit is when they are unable to pack their bags and leave. You'll see (if you can find it, not sure where mine is).

You'll be excited to know that he's all but guaranteed (along with the rest of the cast, I have read repeatedly) for the all-but-guaranteed Arrested Development movie! WOO!

WOAH!

If you fuck off for another three months, is there a chance you'll come back and tell me that Firefly's been re-commissioned?

The only good Prodigy album is Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned. Fat of the Land is boring but with some good singles. Anything earlier is just too average dancey for my liking.

However their gigs seem to sell out in minutes.

Oh and welcome back, CUS. Do behave won't you? You've been sensible on WOSF for some time so I hope for a continuation here.

Experience maaaaybe, but Jilted Generation was 'average dancey'? What about Poison, or Break and Enter?

Hello CUS, glad you're back. I must have missed whatever flare-up caused you to leave, but that's all in the past anyway.

Prodigy? Quite like their early stuff. Saw them at Reading years back and they were shit. Completely off their faces and having a great time, pity about the 80,000 of us paying customers who came to watch.
