Yes, it’s been snowing for the last few days now. It’s snowing right now, too. As you’ve probably noticed, it’s all anyone is speaking about at the moment.

It was the footprints reflected in the door glass that gave it away. I'm actually a little out of touch with the UK peeps of late, so I had no idea until I saw the pic

Snowmen are on street corners and in gardens, school closures, etc.

I don’t know how long it took in terms of hours, but she said it took ten rounds of printing.

hahaha, no I wan't at all - I don't really look in the winter watch thread often, it's not really relatable for me as it's starting to get into a hot spell here. It was really hot this weekend.

10 rounds of printing sounds like a lot, but I've zero experience with 3D printing.

I get that song in my head every time I see those little trees.

It feels like I used to have loads of those little lego tree pieces when I was young. And yet in all the dozens and dozens of lego boxes our kids have, we have never ever got one single tree piece. Is it just me, or have they 'gone away'?

That's the front/central speaker. I've got the same speaker set except mine are set up properly....

Pains me. But wires over there are not permissable within my current marriage.

It’s Grand Masters Of The Galaxy, so it’s five returning Australian teams and five international teams from their respective shows.

We’ve watched three and it’s as good as ever.

I started the Lego ISS ages ago, sometime last year, and hadn't got round to finishing it due to a whole number of things (being busy, not much space in the house, and a general feeling of meh emptiness).

The early parts of the build aren't particularly exciting, which is probably why it had sat for a while, but the final parts felt really cool and I really like the final result when it all came together, it's surprisingly and somewhat impressively large. It can now sit on top of the newly installed desk hutch in the corner of the living room instead of in bits in a box in a different corner.

This will go really nicely with some of the other space bits that I'm really pleased with (Saturn V and the Space Shuttle). I had thought about the lunar lander kit but probably wont get that.

Concorde would be the next one that I'd really like to get.

Concorde is a great build, but it is very large when complete.

Mine is on display at my dad’s house because of this.

That is cool.. I was tempted to get it, but I have so much Lego to build.

The core is pretty robust but there's a lot of small bits stuck on or sticking out that would fall off easily. The stand isn't flimsy but it was harder than expected to get it to hold the model properly

I think it will be a bit of a trickier one to dust.

Can you get a case for it...

I used to get off the train at Baker Street to go to work, and one day the most suave Sherlock Holmes, tall and dapper, strolled up to me and handed me his business card.

And it literally just said:

No other information, logo, etc.

I kept that card in my wallet for years because I thought it was so brilliant.
