Nice!

I must admit though, she doesn't look well. An endless hunt for revenge does not seem to be conducive to good wellbeing.

I have a sort of Reese Witherspoon crossed with an at-his-buffest Henry Rollins vibe for Ellewood. Cutesy and pink but 7 foot tall and utterly ripped.

I’ve bought a flight suit, white hi tops and a white vest. I also got a free nerf gun off a local Facebook page. Then I bought this.

Nice! Have you played a campaign, or the cinematic one shots? I’m going to do the cinematic one shot that’s included in the starter set.

Oh, I see, the starter pack comes with a lot of stuff, but a shorter version of the rulebook, that's odd. I wonder what they took out?

No, not yet. I love the idea of cinematic Vs campaign, though.

I think they removed all of the rules for ongoing campaigns and potentially different character archetypes that aren’t featured in the one shot?

So have you not played at all then? Have you read any of the one shots or are you planning to be a player?

I've read the first one-shot (I think), and all of the rules, but I've not played it at all.

Well I’m going to run it for my OG beef D&D group and assuming I don’t hate the experience I’d be up for running it again for another group from here. Heads up, I’ve been down bad with long covid for months now but I’m starting to get better and hoping to run a game again soon to test how well I do talking that amount. So it won’t be immediately but it should be in the next couple of months. I think the one shot in the starter set is called Chariots of the Gods or something like that.

PLAYER WANTED!

Hello friends. The Rummage Inc D&D campaign has been on extended hiatus while I was pretty ill for a large part of last year with covid, from May onwards. I’m in a much better place now and planning to restart soon but unfortunately, Myp has had to retire his character so we have a space for one new member to join us. If you’re interested, I’d love to hear from you!

What you can expect: a weekly (or biweekly depending on everyone’s 2022 availability) D&D night playing through a campaign run by me in which you will be encountering giants, dragons and various D&D monsters as you work with your party (Mr Dave, Zardoz, Squirt and Dimrill) to save the world from giants who have left their strongholds and are mounting raids on the small folks villages and towns across the land. The players are currently level 6 so I’d work with the new player to create a level 6 character. The campaign will probably take the players somewhere between level 10-15 and then I’ll either homebrew something to continue on to 20, or start a new campaign, possibly in Exandria (of Critical Role fame).

I like to think I’m a very fair DM - if there’s something you want to do and we can come up with a cool way to make it happen without breaking the game then we go for it, or we let the dice decide. I use a pre written module but edit it with stuff I’ve made up or boring bits removed and I try to build in specific points of interest for each player and/or character.

As a group the fun and silliness factor is pretty high and we spend a lot of the night laughing but the story is still allowed to progress. You’ll also find your character forever immortalised in the Zardoodles we’re graced with after a session, one of which I have as a print in my study because I love these memories so much. (Seriously, you have no idea how much joy I’ve taken over the last months of my illness just from scrolling through Zardoz’s behance page of drawings of scenes from our game).

You don’t need any previous experience of D&D (most of this group didn’t have any when we started) but equally you could be a veteran and you’d still be welcome.

We’ll probably play on a Tuesday night or something, from around 7:30-8pm (depending on when I get the kids to bed) until around 10:30/11pm.

If you’d like to put yourself forward, just chip in here or PM me if you’re shy. If there are multiple interested we’ll decide via a fight to the death, obv.

I really would recommend anyone who's a bit interested giving this a go - we've all had an awesome time. You don't really need anything to start with other than a computer and ideally a headset / camera, and as SDG says, no D&D knowledge is really required.

However, we are a crack combat squad, and we simply won't tolerate people idly wondering into rooms full of hobgoblins, leading the party into ambushes set by eldritch horrors in a sewer or being rude about other people's potatoes.

Don’t forget we did bumble through ok in the few sessions when we were a party of four noobs. So if nobody steps boldly from the shrubs to join us we can still ‘do it’.

Just make sure you throttle back the waves of enemies a bit, sdg x

Yeah you’ll definitely be able to get by as a party of four if no one wants to join, don’t worry :)

Am I right in thinking Gryyk Dangerous hasn't had any stats increases yet, but will get one when he goes to 4 / 3 and then another at 4 / 4?

It's possible that Ivo's first party turning into a nightmarish horror in a sewer might lead to him turning his back on bling and doubling down on the tentacles. Drinking, fancy clothes, gambling and talking to girls has not worked out well for him so far.

15 months into my non-Beex game and we've just hit level 5! We're **VERY** slowly grinding through Curse of Strahd, sometimes weekly, mostly monthly. It's still good fun though, although half the players aren't entirely sure what they're doing, which leads to some profoundly sub-optimal choices being made.

I’ve just found a few sketches from the last sessions of our SDGD&D sessions. I’ll give them a splash of colour as soon as I can.
