I have bought an aeropress coffee thing. One of the best cheap gadgets i have got.

https://www.coffeeisland.co.uk/catalog/ ... pLEALw_wcB

Is there any other funky stuff that is a game changer that you can recommend?

I love my Aeropress. I genuinely believe coffee tastes better using it. I still haven't got a metal filter for it yet though. I'm just so lazy and usually use my silicone cone filter instead.

Metal and silicone filters? I have not seen these.

Metal filter for the Aeropress. Allows the oil in the coffee to come through, which paper doesn't.

The silicone cone filter is just something you pop on a cup and put a paper cone filter in. Nothing to do with the Aeropress but very easy and minimal mess.

I use my aeropress all the time at work. I'll check out the metal filters once I've got through the stack of paper ones.

I have just ordered 700 filters... I will use these first.

I am tempted to get another press for the office

I am sure I was talking to someone at the cottage. Saying the press plunger was not as good as it was.

Z-Scale though? Come back to me when there's a 00 scale Millionaire’s Trainset in a Briefcase. Then I'll be interested.

That was me I think. I said the paper filters weren’t as good as the metal filters as they don’t let the oil through.

Possibly the most frivolous gadget I have is the bottle opener on my bike seat. That's never been used (it came on the bike). Would be more useful if I drank beer or lived in the USA.

I had an espresso maker (with pods, can't remember the name now) but have had to cut out a lot of coffee drinking (BOOOO) because of my ever changing moods and anxiety :(

The best gadgets to have at the moment would be the ones to protect yourselves, family and home during the post-Brexit riots and lootings.

I might let you into my shelter but you're not getting a go on the briefcase train set.

If you bring craft beer and pork scratchings I’ll allow you into Vault 26.

Nut cracker/Champagne cork remover. This is advertised as a nut cracker and it’s the best one I’ve ever had, but it’s also brill for getting corks out of Champagne and sparkling wine bottles. And dirt cheap.

That's why I'm never more than 6 feet away from the ol' AxGun!

That would be my IBS (and you thought that was coffee).
