I'm started following a course on coursera last month, and it's actually rather well done, with peer reviews, quizzes and a bit american but quite good teacher.. so i'm actually keeping up with it, and made some assigments and stuff.

Have you guys and gals already tried it? Kinda surprised by my own loyalty to ths..

I hope it doesn't get in the way of any craft commissions you might have...

;)

I've actually always wanted to do cryptography and cryptology, almost did it at uni. I'd rather cryptology, but they didn't have it, so this is the nearest best thing!

And no, Grim..., it won't. Not that I had /completely/ forgotten about said craft project or anything.

You need to do association to help you remember. Associate said craft item with drinking alcohol (which makes sense). Now, every time you have alcohol, you'll think "Fuck! I still haven't done that thing for Grim..., and I promised it would be ready for the 3BQ!"

:D

Good plan!! Apart from my trying not to drink pre my birthday. Hmm. Guess I'll just have to find an excuse to drink!

This coursera malarkey is awesome :) I must admit it's a little stressful taking tests every week (final exam on Monday!) on top of a full time job and a rather active social life, but it's really great to be learning all the time!

I spent Sunday calculating whether or not a company should innovate based on the probability of the success of the innovation, the likelihood of a competitor to also innovate, the profit if it worked (and the competitor didn't get there first) and the cost of the innovation itself. Brain melt, but a good one!
