I have enemies I wish to smite and I wish to know the best glue to disrupt their business. Ahem.... rather I have just broken part of the arm off my expensive chair. The arm is held in place by a thick piece of plastic with bolts through it. Both ends have shattered.

I've previously repaired one end with plastic glue recommended for most modern plastics, it works but it blatantly isn't strong enough. I need something that will weld the plastic as strong as it was when new.

So can anyone recommend a glue for such a purpose?

2 part epoxy resin might do the trick.

I know a man who reversed into a wall and fixed it with no more nails. Still standing apparently.

There's your answer, then. Plus you can use the rest to stick Craster to a wall above a sharkpool, or something.

In all honesty you'll be lucky to ever make it work right.

It's quite a complicated piece so probably not.

The cable tie arrangement does work although the adjustment mechanism is also now screwed as the ball bearings it glided on went awol when it fell apart.

3 years. When I say expensive, it's more expensive than a standard office chair but not as expensiove as an Aeron. It's a knock off Aeron basically.

Oh indeedy. It's hardly showing any wear and is a sturdy chair. The arm only broke because, unknown to me, one of the bolts that was holding it on had come loose and all the weight was on one edge.

Today it broke as I was rocking back and forth like someone who was mentally ill and my glued repair gave way.

You literally type out everything that you think in your head, don't you?

Yes, I was thinking about the delicious irony as I typed it out, but I still couldn't resist calling the kettle black.

Because I am a racist.
