Birdseye also did a version of Artic Roll in slices coated in chocolate but I'll be damned if I can remember what they were called.

Supermarkets sell own brand versions. I've had one from Morrisons. It was foul.

Agreed. I never really understood Arctic Roll either - Icecream and cold sponge. Weird combination.

You need defrosting time. The sponge should be at around room temperature, the ice cream melted pleasingly into it.
