So, did anyone catch this documentary she had made? I wasn't keen to watch it but the gf was insistent that it would be amusing.

Apart from confirming herself as a bit of a dope, the overriding message throughout was 'I'm just like you'. To prove that fact I now feel compelled to make a documentary whining about my life woes, containing at least 75% cliché and a lot of poncing about for the camera.

That, and a highly scripted appearance and statement from Madonna (who looked even more hideous than usual, with her face seemingly bloated with some kind of anti-aging treatment). :spew:

Relatedly I hear again that Britney Spears is the highest ranking search term on yahoo for the 7th time in 8 years. I don't understand this. Who is searching for her? Is it any of you? Because it's not me.

She was completely awful when she mimed along to her song on X factor.

The missus watched this while I played CoD. The brief bits I saw made me laugh at her accent, and the weird baby voice she puts on when singing.

I didn't see it, but I've got a bit of a soft spot for her, as she's clearly got problems and hasn't dealt with the fame thing particularly well.

While I do wish death on many a vacuous celebrity (Die Katona, fucking DIE), I'm more reserved when it comes to Spears. Not coz I fancy her or anything because objectively speaking (hoho!) she isn't that awesomely fit. I just regard her as a bit of a stumbling idiot who can't cope with the vulturous cretins that flock to anyone with celebrity, and this has no doubt conspired to fuck her up right royally.

At least she has the correct number of legs all the time.

Shut it, Gerald has 4 legs at all times, you just can't see them depending on the angle of his body.

Spears: Occasional pop brilliance, frequent chaotic shambling.

Would I hit it? On a good day, probably. She doesn't have many, mind.

I did watch it. I missed the first 5 minutes of it so I'm curious as to whether she actually said anything interesting in the bit I missed as she clearly didn't for the rest of it.

She's been through a lot of shit the past few years and she simply glossed over it with "I dealt with the break up hard... I like to enjoy myself... people thought I was doing drugs! *shocked expression*".

I don't know why I was expecting something better, something grittier, but I was and I was disappointed. Even the huge amounts of paparazzi stalking her seemed staged. At one point, one of them seemed to freak out when her entourage pulled up, got out of the car and quickly got back in as they were overwhelmed by all the paps. He was shouting something about her wasting their time. Maybe I'm cynical, but I got the impression they'd been tipped off by Britney's people as to exactly where she would be shopping!

I really enjoyed that interview show about Geri Halliwell about 10 years ago, after she got kicked out of Spice Girls. A bunch of us at univeersity sat around watching it, and my girlfriend of the time (a kindly souled American) turned around at the end and said "we should take her out for a beer. She seems really sad and in need of cheering up".

She's too skinny now, of course.

I think Britney inspires people to write brilliant pop music for her and I find her complete ridiculous shambles of a life amusing sometimes. Her recent live performances have left a lot to be desired. The X Factor one in particular was a bit of a mess. She looks great when she's not being blonde.

Apparently, she was fifteen when they originally made that Baby One More Time video, but they held off from releasing it until she was sixteen to make it less paedo/pervy. This is all according to some DJ I know, so it might be bollocks. I'll stop posting now.

I remember seeing an Gentleman's Photoplay where the lady in question was bald. A gentleman was tipping his filthy concrete on her scalp.
