I suspect that nobody is so maniacally desperate to be a mod that they'd be constantly eyeing the list to change their vote for minimal strategic gain. It wouldn't make too much difference, and would be very, very sad. Besides, there are 5 clear frontrunners and my angry-sense tells me it probably won't change that much.

A couple of people have asked me, and I must confess that I'm interested too: Why?

Because some of the mods do so little actual moderating you'd be hard pressed to pick them out of a line up of one?

So you can see who's been in charge for the last 6 months. Therefore if you feel they've done a good job, even if you don't know who they are, you can re-elect them. Just like in a real election. You may not follow politics, but if you feel the current lot are doing a good job you vote for them. If the last 6 months had been a disaster then you could avoid voting for them.

No conspiracies, no sinister motives, I just feel that for the benefit of the less frequent visitors these things should be tagged.

I would also like it flagged that Craster touches badgers.
